Thanked: 3When I try a soap that fails, it can sometimes be used successfully as part of an uberlather concoction. I purchased several "shaving butters" that don't lather. Perhaps they are not supposed to, but they did provide great glide, yet no cushion. When mixed with good shaving soap, they made a great uberlather. Hey, it's worth a try

Thanked: 1184I have some from a couple of makers that at first I thought was lousy. I haven't tried to many soaps so I kept trying them out to see if it was me. Turns out it was me. I just needed to load up more and keep the water going. Now I will order 2 of them again someday because of the scents. I am sure not all artisans are experienced enough or care to make soaps specific to wet shaving.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Baxter of California. Hate their products...shave cream lathered like crap, smelled like crap, and left a residue of crap in my brush that I had to break down with vinegar water just the get the crap out!
I've gotten loads of different samples of their products...shampoo, body washes, scrubby face wash, aftershave, you name it!
Now, whenever I get them tossed in with my order, I give them to my smart-mouth brother...lol
