Practically everyday we see someone on the forum complain about this product or that and, most often, there's someone else who says he has no trouble with it so I always try to give a cranky soap a fair evaluation. However, the WORST SOAP EVER has to be:
Lightfoot Pine Soap
It's a very hard soap so I tried soaking it for various lengths of time, grating into stick form (my preferred means of delivery), grating into a bowl with glycerine.. everything. It will lather but it's thin and weak by any standard no matter what I did to it. I tried several uberlather mixes with good lathering soaps and all it did was ruin a good soap. It doesn't even work as a bath soap and has very little pine scent to boot. If the earth ever needs an enema they'll stick the tube in the Lightfood Pine Soap factory.
rs,
TackI have great faith in fools - self confidence my friends call it.

A serious thought, really,,,,,I don't know if you fish much, but many homemade soaps are great bait. Ivory soap, for example, will attrack catfish, a great bait. So if you get a bad homemade soap, just put it in the refrigerator to keep it fresh till your next fishing trip.
