Holy crap!! (T.O.B.S. cream)
just got my first ever tub of Taylor Of Old Bond Street Sandalwood Shave Cream from the SRD website!
been using the Sandalwood shave soap in the wooden bowl for a few months and love it..smells great..shaves great...good cushion...no irritation....but I figured it was time to give the shave cream a try...
first impressions, they give you a decent amount in the tub, actually was quite a lot... it smells nice, maybe a little bit of a chemical smell compared to the shave soap....but nice....
at first I put on an almond size drop in my bowl and proceeded to mix up a nice lather with my Omega Pure badger hair brush....it made quite a nice cream...plenty of it....but it was lacking something...not as much glide as i expected...
so I then decided to coat the bristles of the brush with a generous but not excessive amount of cream...and proceeded to face lather like i would with a hard soap...adding water a few drops at a time directly to the brush....
all i can say is HOLY CRAP this is definitely the way to go...something about the face lathering really made ALL the difference in the texture, thickness and "slickness" of the lather! it really created a beautiful layer of lather...like nothing I've tried before....velvety feeling and almost soothing to the skin....i went ahead and uber lathered just for fun...squeezing the bristles to extract every bit of lather....
this was just a trial lathering haha to see how this cream would work and i would love to give it a 10+ right now! but will wait until i actually shave with it tomorrow!

You will like shaving with it. I really like the TOBS cream for face lathering. I have used both the Sandalwood and Avocado.

I have the almond scented one. Smells great and a fantastic lather.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

TOBS Shaving Creams are top notch. I use the the Sandalwood and Avacado. The Avacado has a nice fresh scent, to my nose. It's a very subjective scent, you either like it or you don't. I bought TOBS Sandalwood bath soap. It's expensive, but the bar is huge, and it's a great soap.
We have assumed control !

Thanked: 60Im a real fan of the TOBS lavender, especially before bed.
I like to face lather and TOBS creams are great for this. I recently got a sample pack of all the TOBS creams and some are remarkable. I 'm glad I got the pack because I would never have opted for Avacado but it's a great cream indeed. I also like the grapefruit and their lemon and lime. Still got loads to test.It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness

I have the sandalwood cream too and really enjoy it. I bought in in London on vacation so it is a little more special. I find that I use a little more cream than most, but I will buy it again!

The last couple of months has seen my bowl/scuttle neglected. Anymore, short of an ubberlather, its been all about lathering on the old face lol. Works for me too.

I'm loving the face lathering routine with the T.O.B.S. Cream! It is really the way to go!
One thing I do after face lathering, to get that Uber lather feel is to squeeze every bit of lather that's trapped inside the brush onto my hand, then just pick it up with the brush and apply it to my face....honestly it's nice and thick, even better than building a lather in my bowl in my opinion.
