Is it Trumper soaps that are getting dumped on in another thread? If Trumper is a problem and you want a rose soap, Mama Bear's "Roses" shave stick is divine.

+1 for a Stirling and Cella. I used the Stirling Clubman this morning.

I would also highly recommend Los Angeles Shaving Soap-The Woody Lavender is $16, and worth it.

Lince, I've seen your enthusiastic posts about Sterling soaps. I think you have convinced me to try them out. The next time I buy a new soap, I think I'll give them a go.

Thanks for the ideas, everyone. I've got some sampling to do.
    OCDShaver, thanks for the link.

Any/everything by QED; especially (but not limited to) Pine & Cedarwood, Anise & Lavender, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Bay Rum (which doesn't smell at all like rum, but which you might, nonetheless, find offensive in principle).

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

    Thanks for the recommendations.
My principles are reserved for things more important than a shaving soap. I don't care what the name is, but I do care what I smell like.

I am getting ready to try out some honeybee soaps my self there are a lot of sent and generally fairly high reviews. You can get samples for 1.99 or a 4 oz puck for 5.99 seams reasonable to me.

Out of these I've only tried out the Green Mountain Soap, but I have to say that it is really good, among the best shaving products I have tried.

Personally I'm quite weary of Artisan products (kitchen/bathroom brew and all that), haven't had any that I really enjoyed more than commercially available soaps, and there are plenty available. Also Cella is terribly overrated, in my opinion.
