I have the Proraso green tub, lathers well but somehow it smells like mentholated hotel soap to me....

I really like the cooling effect this cream provides on hot days in the summer.

I have a tub of their lemon-lime cream and I would like to try their sandalwood. I really liked Parker's sandalwood soap and it wasn't expensive. But I definitely want to try the other types of proraso cream especially the sandalwood and shea butter(red).

Now you see why guys like me who have been around a while use Proraso as a reference soap/cream. If it's better, great...if it's worse...trash can.

Place about an almond size amount in your bowl and mix up with a your brush. You will have to play around with the amount of water you use to get the best result

I have TOBS sandalwood and it lathers nice but I prefer both the proraso sandalwood and Art of shaving sandalwood.

Another interesting example of YMMV. The Proraso green cream burns the heck out of my face, post shave...and in 50 years of shaving (yes, I'm old) I've never had razor burn or any skin irritaion from shaving. I guess my skin just doesn't like their blend of camphor & eucalyptus...and whatever else is in it. It's kind of odd, because I started shaving with Noxema canned cream and used Noxema to clean my face and for sunburn.

    Enjoy yours; I'll try others.

Thanks for all the great info. I am about use the biglow branded poraso for the first time. Just used my trimmer to remove my polar vortex beard. It's time for a smooth shave and baseball! Tigers on the radio while shaving
