    I realized I did not put forth my vote,
    Both are outstanding, however the original is my choice.
    Now that may be biased as that is the one I tried first and the scent is locked in my brain as an outstand shave to come.

    Start with the original. It has the scent most likely to please. As to the fougere, I found it very strong when it arrived. It has toned down a bit but is still stronger than the original. For me, fougere is not as pleasant as the original. Both soaps do lather well and easily.
    Nothing is as it ever was.
