    Default Choose MdC For Me

I can no longer resist, I read about it wherever I go. Going to place an order today

Just please tell me, original or fougere? Is the fougere anything like Le Pere Lucien?

Can you describe each scent for those who've tried both? I read the fougere is a bit like LPL or Myrsol Agua Balsamica, does that hold in any way? What about the original?

Looking forward to all your comments

I purchased the Original Scented and the Fougere, they are both superb. But if I had to pick one, the Fougere hands down...simply superb IMO.

Can you please try to describe what each is like to your best ability? Which is more powdery or green or spicy? I love MWF and Tabac.. LPL just recently started to grow on me

Shaved with Fougere this morning. You use very little of the cream. After 8 shaves the bottle appears brand new.

8 light swirls (thanks Ed Hewitt) is all you need for a great shave.

I am not familiar with the scents you mentioned so no help here. IIRC, Fougere means "fern". I like the Fougere scent but "Czech and Speake No. 88" is more to my liking.

The original scent is French lavender and mint and is fairly subtle. The fougere, as the name suggests, is very much fern-like and is not so subtle IMO. Both are heavenly scents but if I had to choose it would probably be the original.

I have only the fougere. I like the shave soap itself and think the scent is mild, and not in your face, and I like that. Great Performing shave soap I'm sure you won't be disappointed with any of the scents. And if you are I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding it a new home.

Good point. I suppose if I push myself to get both but can only afford to keep one, I should be easily able to pass it along later. But that's £80 nearly $140

buy both, take a sniff then decide. And sell the other like you said. The shave soap will perform with which ever scent you choose. By the way I believe they have unscented also for what it's worth...
