WadePatton,
Thanks for the reply. And to everyone that suggested these soaps. I have lots of options!
And for everyone out there, I meant "hippie" in only an endearing way. I'd love to do all this stuff on my own one day, I've only begun the journey.
Thanks to all.
Darren

Thanked: 1195Beware the claim "natural", there are many products out there that make this claim but the ingredient list shows otherwise.
TO my knowledge MdC is pretty basic but I'd have to check the ingredients again just to be certain.

MrDarrenMo: I was just wondering what you were actually looking for. I have started making some homemade shaving soap so tend to get a little inquisitive.. and I have never been accused of being subtle. If you have any questions I will be glad to answer or to at least point you in the right direction if I don't know. The wife and I have been leaning towards getting rid of the a lot of the chemicals in our everyday life as well. Latest endeavor is soap, shampoo, and toothpaste.... first batch of toothpowder arrives this week. If I like it, I will see what is involved in making my own.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Hey MattCB,
I'm always just hesitant to buy a product with a long list of chemicals I know nothing about. Instead of researching a laundry list, I just wanted to get the ball rolling on some brands (since SRP is very knowledgable group), and then maybe one day start making my own. When that day comes, you bet I'll ask questions!
As an update, I bought some of that How To Grow A Mustache soap. It foams and lathers up nicely, but I wouldn't say its amazing by any means. It is a lot better on my razor and brush - the Proraso I was using seemed to have that film that was rather annoying to clean up. Then again, I'm a newbie and haven't tried a lot out there. I want to try Mike's soaps. People say its good stuff. I'm okay with non-vegan, just wanted some basic ingredient soap that works well together - bonus if its from a small business (until I can make my own...one day).

you might want to check out Mystic Water, I pick up a definite hippy vibe from Michelle the owner.
