Default The Art Of Shaving Creams

Went to the local mall today and noticed they opened a Sephora store which was promoting The Art Of Shaving cream and was wondering if anyone has tried any of their shaving creams? I have heard some good things about their product and was thinking of getting The Art Of Shaving shaving kit which comes with pre-shave lotion, aftershave balm, shaving cream and badger brush.

Only used the preshave oil. Didn't care for it much. That being said the creams get good reviews. Always worth a shot.

I have TAoS sandalwood shaving cream, and I love it. I find that it's easy to lather and provides a good shave. And both SWMBO and I really like the scent.

My daughter works at a Sephora (employee discount = ChaChing!). As a result I have some experience with the Unscented line.

If you use a pre-shave oil, you may like TAoS's...I do quite a bit, but I'm a sucka for Bay. The shaving cream is pretty darned good in my humble, and I and use it quite regularly. Lathers like a champ, nice on the face, great cushion and lube qualities. The after-shave balm is also a winner. Very lux, non-greasy feeling, and nicely soothing.

In a nut shell: A bit pricey, but good product.

Have to admit I usually shave after my shower and not use using pre-shave lotions I go straight to the soap or cream followed by my aftershave. I am interested in the sandalwood cream and the aftershave balm smells great will have to pick some and give it a shave.

Had AOS Lavender shave cream and it seemed pretty good.

Yeah I got the sandalwood kit. I still replenish my stock of the cream and aftershave balm, but I ditched the pre shave and brush pretty quickly.

I've tried a number of their soaps and creams, find that the AOS is at or near the top of the heap, cream wise (they changed the soap formulation last year) from both a performance standpoint and how far a tub goes .. which makes the somewhat high price at least palatable. The AOS stores will give you a sniff or sample to see if the scent is for you.

    All in all, good stuff.

    Giorgo,
I have tried all four The Art of Shaving shaving creams — unscented, lavender, lemon and sandalwood — and all are quality. If you can get a hold of their soaps in the old formula, they are superb.

    Giorgo,

I have sandalwood and Sea Kelp and they are great. The Sandalwood is my favorite cream. They lather greatness and make for a smooth shave.
