Ultimate Comfort Cream by Truefitt & Hill
Gentlemen,
Ultimate Comfort, the unscented shave cream by Truefitt & Hill, was a mainstay in my humble shave den for some years before disappearing from the lineup. Regretfully, I might add. Why I neglected this exceptionally fine shave cream, I don't know. Recently, when switching to mostly soaps and creams for sensitive skin, I realized my oversight and ordered a tub.
Little wonder I had used the cream for years, because the first lather with a silvertip brush tucked cushion and glide into a luxurious cloud of comfort. What's more, after the shave, my face felt as if kissed by a corpse of angels. For me, how the soap or cream leave the face after the shave is another indication of quality, and this one showed admirable results.
Glycerin and lavender essential oil, ideal for sensitive skin, comprise the key elements in Truefitt & Hill's Ultimate Comfort shave cream. Give it a try and see what you think. Yes, it is unscented, but I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.

Major,
Truefitt & Hill's Ultimate Comfort is not soap but cream.
By the way, the Ultimate Comfort aftershave balm is exceptional, too.

Obie - yea, but the cream works like soap, correct? You just dip the brush in then sud it up in the bowl?

I really like the T&H products...had a sample pack and enjoyed them all.
Right now, my favorites are Trafalgar and 1805....incredible shaving experience with this fine product.
The only issue I found, was that as someone who is primarily a hard soap user, it took me several tries to remember just to dip the wet end of the brush in and load lightly. Not to swirl the brush around several times as if it was a hard soap. First couple of times I used it, probably could have shaved a dozen or so people.
One of my favorites no doubt...thanks, another great thread!

Hello Major,
Yes, cream works the same as soap, although soap takes extra swirls to load. For this cream, swirl just enough to lightly coat the tips of the brush. Then you can either make lather in a bowl or directly onto the face. Since I face lather, I swirl the brush lightly on the cream just enough to coat the tips, as I noted, and then go directly to the face. Either way, you must watch the water ratio. Make sure when lathering, to use the brush tips rather than splaying the brush on the face.Last edited by Obie; 08-01-2014 at 09:32 PM.

Obie - I saw a video from Lynn showing him using the cream SRD sells. Figure this is about the same. I picked some of this up from Amazon so I'll give it a shot when it arrives on Monday.

Maybe 7 years ago I went through 2 tubs of this with great results. I would certainly consider bringing it back into the den someday. I am quite overwhelmed with lathering product for now but agree with Obie....top notch with an excellent light Lavender fragrance.
