Default Taylor of Old Bond St -- Which is your preferred scent?

I'm looking to order a couple of T.O.O.B.S scents online, and have decided that I'm going to try the St. James fragrance. Does anyone else here have any experience with it? Positive experience, hopefully?

I haven't decided on my second choice, though. I think I've narrowed it down to Lemon-Lim, Rose or Lavender. Can I get some advice on this one?

I really like the rose cream...although avocado is still my favorite for the winter weather, rose is also moist, rich, and leaves my skin fairly soft. Good luck..

    Thanks.

I just ordered "St. James" and "Lavender." The latter should make a nice spring scent, don't you think?

Shaving Shop and Mr. Taylor's. These two are classic "barber shop" scented creams. I've discovered that I prefer soaps, but these two creams will stay at my beck and call.

I have the Rose, Avocado and have tried samples of Mr Taylors, Sandalwood and St James.

I think they are all Great, you should be happy with your selections, if you don't like them you should be able to sell them quickly

Jim at Vintage Blades has some of the best prices on Taylors I've seen, I think he still has some tubes on clearance too.

Can you remember what St. James was like, padron? I'm curious to know your impressions of it.

And yeah, I went on a bit of a shopping spree over at the Vintage Blades site. In addition to the two tubs of cream, I got myself the "Shavemac 177, Handmade, Silvertip Badger - 23mm - Faux Ivory" brush. Finally, after close to two years of straight razor shaving, I'll be upgrading my six dollar Wilkinson Sword brush, purchased at Wal-Mart, to a decent one. I can't wait for it to arrive. I can't believe it took me so long. That should have been one of my first purchases.

I also grabbed two 10 packs of Merkur DE blades. I found a discount code over at Badger and Blade which gave buyers free shipping with the purchase of a Shavemac brush, so all of this will be shipped for nothin' -- hopefully.

QED describes St. James as "A very complex fresh herbaceous accord with crisp citrus top notes; it starts with bergamot and lavender on a layer of rosemary and coriander; it continues with juniper and clary sage on a heart of warm clove and thyme; then it finishes with base notes of patchouli and olibanum with a touch of amber." I like it, but it's not my favorite.

You'll love the Shavemac brush. I have 4 of them!

I also recently ordered some Taylor cream from Jim. Man his prices are great. I ordered the Almond and the Sandalwood. Looking forward to both of them very much.

Wow. Whoever wrote that description has quite the nose.

Four Shavemacs, eh? Holy cow. Do you have the one I'm getting? I've read some positive reviews for it, so I think it's going to be pretty nice. Plus, I like the sterile, simple and utilitarian look to it:
