I must say Major, I enjoy reading your posts. You have had your trials and always seem to come out on the cheery side.

    Thanks,

No, but due to the fact that I also have lapses (and a lack of space in the shaving area) I keep the oil with my hones and long term storage area and the glycerin in my bathroom.

Well, I remember when we was youngins and cousin Festus poured a bottle of Bosco into Uncle jethro's expensive french shaving soap which was black to begin with. As I recall they spent quite some time in the woodshed after that not to mention the local Mountain Lion who kept trailing Jethro for days after that.

You keep your Preparation H in a different drawer than your Crest right ? Just trying to help prevent future mishaps :<0)

Reminds me when I hurt my shoulder and my then 12-year old daughter absent-mindedly put the muscle rub that I had left on the bathroom shelf on her toothbrush.

Needless to say, she did not like it. 😰

If the basic principle still works; you should have no more problems with your tonsils. 😉

Its funny to see this cause I keep my SRD razor oil next to my glycerin also. I've not made the mistake but can see how easy it would be. Just think your face wouldn't rust. Always an upside.

Now this is really a true story, not shaving related but funny.

Many years ago when I was a young lad in the Navy I was doing my tour as a Mess Cook aboard ship. I used to work with the baker on the night shift and prepared most of the grub for the morning and afternoon meals. A very popular item was Kool aid which was dispensed from 5 gallon dispensers. We called it bug juice. One early morning I prepared the stuff as usual and later during dinner a dude comes up to me and the Chief and says this stuff tastes terrible what's in it. I said just the mix and a bunch of sugar. Both the chief and I taste it and spit the stuff out. We go into the Mess and take the sugar canister down and sure enough it's filled with salt.

The cook for some reason replaced the sugar with the salt. The funny thing is probably 30 guys drank the stuff and never complained. Some were drinking multiple glasses. The Chief and I were watching and laughing our butts off.

You know, sugar and salt LOOK exactly the same-har har.
