I'm like Tyrone. I need to find a good pre-shave balm. It seems, no matter how wet I get the lather, I get razor burn. But I was used to shaving in the shower for thirty years so my beard and skin was at the peak moisture wise. (SR shaving in the shower does not seem wise

Thanked: 4830there are several pre shaves to try. Noxema, Proraso, Castle Forbes, and some use hair conditioner. I have the Proraso and Castle Forbes. i will be trying the Noxema in less than a week, when my Proraso runs out. I think the key is to try one for a bit if it works great otherwise you have to try another. I like to try the cheaper ones first, in the hopes of saving money, which sounds ridiculous when I think about how much I spend on razors.
P.S.

Thanked: 3Picked up the Nivea and it seems to be helping. I also got some more Noxema cream which I have been using since I was a child so I'm sure that will also help greatly, never had a problem with it and I actually enjoy the strangely strong scent of it
