Thanked: 2591Got a tub of Strong 'N Scottish and Lavender De Luxe today, here are my initial impressions.
I test lathered and they are great, very little needed to make good amount of lather.
For the test I used Semogue 620, 830 and Thater 49125/3, all performed really well with the crams.
One note on the Strong'N Scottish, it is indeed strong. When I initially smelled the cream it reminded me a lot of tar soap, but then I realized it is more of a deep leathery smell. This is a very interesting scent that will go great with Mugler Pure Leather for example.Stefan

I received the Dark Limes and Pink Grapefruit hard soap the other day. Both have a great scent and lather without any problems at all. Here is my shave with the Dark Limes and this was after 3 passes. There was enough lather to do 3 more passes easily.

I have these two scents ordered. Thanks for the positive opinion, Johnny.David,

I'm bad at describing scents but to me the scottish had almost a sour tobacco scent with whisky and old leather undertones. The scent's I think are more "adult" scents. I think someone who ordered the dark limes expecting the usual citrus scent would be in for a big shock.

The lime scent is dried limes. Visit your favourite Middle Eastern restaurant for most.
The strong and Scottish scent is peat. Pure, unadulterated peat. Lots of it.

I spent plenty of time doing Geology Courses walking through peat bogs and they didn't have that scent. of course it wasn't in Scotland just Illinois and Wisconsin.

i have used with satisfaction lavander deluxe (very good scent)
The performace is great...very good product.
I was disappointed when I have sniffed black beer....too citrusy. I imagined something dark beer, with light smell of coffee or malt with bitter hop...like guinness or other dark beer like scotch ale...but nothing."Consider well the seed that gave your birth: you were not made to lives as brutes, but to following virtue and knoweledge"
