I ordered the scented version and it is labeled on the bottom as the scented version but there is really very little scent to it. This is my first experience with it but my other soaps have much stronger scents. It would be difficult for me to even try to tell you what it smells like. The smell is so faint.

Thanked: 3222My French she not so good but on the bottom of my jar I read the line "Son Parfum est leger et frais" and take it to mean mine is scented with a light fresh scent. No mistaking that scent, Vetiver, for sure and not really on the light side either. Might it vary by batch?

Thanked: 14From the website: "Benson, Rosemary, lavender and mint." To me, it smells absolutely nothing like Vetiver. It smells like medicinal lavender ( if there were such a stink as that). And I'm not enamoured by the soap. I like the scent; I like the performance, but; I like other soaps more.

I purchased the Fougere and that is what it says on the bottom of the jar but if I really concentrate I get a little licorice smell but I have to use my imagination and it is nothing like Mike's Vetiver which is the only vetiver I have tried. I wish the MDC smelled like the Mike's does. It's performance seems superior but I feel like there was some mistake at the factory.

Thanked: 3215Interesting, I have the lavender and it is strong scented and recently purchased the Fougere and it too is very strong, both very nice scents.
I noticed on their website they do make an unscented version and it is packaged differently in a white label with dark Blue writing. The lavender is packaged with a Tan label with Purple writing and the Fougere is lite mint Green label with dark Green writing.
Perhaps you received unscented.
Love the Fougere, btw…

I "smelled" the unscented a while back and their is no scent.
My regular and fougere have nice scents but I do not find them overpowering. If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.
