I agree, Catie's Bubbles can use a bit more water. Great soap!
I won't buy or use Phoenix, Syneregy, HTGAM, or Petal Pushers products because of the owners business ethics.Bob

Just got two more Catie's Bubbles in, Jardin D'Or and Celtic Knot, after someone gifted me a jar of very nice Tonsorial Parlour.
Have to say, in terms of unmentioned greats, Catie's Bubbles are truly one of the nicest soaps, easily a place in the Top Ten.
This soap just never disappoints, it gets to stay in the main box!Last edited by Phrank; 10-23-2015 at 03:05 AM.

Thanked: 96I to really like Caties Bubbles. It is one of three I use for straight shaving. Great lather, slickness and feel after the shave. Found most good soaps and creams work good with DE or SE but when you shave with a straight its a whole different ball game.

Thanked: 72Could you elaborate on the business practices comment? I buy a ton of artisanal soaps and would like to know what I'm dealing with when I can. Thanks!!

HC-No I won't (PM sent). You can do a few searches and find a lot of information. This has been discussed a LOT in the past.
Catie's Bubbles is still a favorite in my rotation.

Thanked: 96Love Catie's Bubbles. Favorite is the Le Pement de la vie. Still can't make out the smell but it's like Napalm in the morning. It's one of my top of the list with Straights.

For fans of MdC's scent, I recommend Catie's 'purple grapefruit', it's heavy on lavender and has nice undertones of citrus...

So I just traded some soap for cb fouet l'orange and a sample of lmr. The fl'o has a very chemical orange push pop smell to it is ok but not something to rave about. Lmr on the other hand is definitely an awesome scent.
I've only palm lathered them once yesterday and put it on my cheek with out shaving since I've done it before the soaps came in. I wanted to see if there was some kind of a skin reaction because I've heard of too many people who have a reaction to it. There was a slight tingle or maybe I'm imagining things.
I'm really looking forward to shaving with both of them though

I got a couple of CB soaps today, and cracked open the Le Piment de la Vie. While the scent isnt so much my thing, the performance was awesome! Depths of lather. Great slickness. And my skin was so great afterword, when I slapped on the Speick, I felt no sting at all... usually I feel a little here and there.
I hope the other samples I got are as good... but with a scent I am digging.Recovered Razor Addict
(Just kidding, I have one incoming...)
