Default 1st Jar of Catie's Bubbles

I used my first Catie’s Bubbles soap today, La Terre Verte. I was not disappointed. All the rave reviews are spot on. After loading my brush for 20 seconds, I had more than enough great thick, slick, cushioning later for three passes. It is a soft soap/croap and a tad bit softer than some. It will be sticking around!
The jar is packed with a full 8 ounces of soap.

Scent: “A gentle, earthy mix of oakmoss, sandalwood and patchouli in our slick and protective french style formula.”

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Water, Coconut Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Glycerine, Fragrance, Patchouli Essential Oil.

I'm 100% with you! Used my Le Pement de la vie ( the spice of life) today and it's getting used more that my Tabac and MWF. If your not using some of the newer artisan soap, you're missing out!

Ugh, I have got to stop reading these new artisan soap porn threads. Just finally managed to get my Soap Acquisition Disorder under control a few months ago, and now here I am feeling the temptation starting well up inside me again...

I just finished my third excellent shave with the LPV. This was my 6th day with this blade too, a Gillette Spoiler SS. I found that I need to cut way back on the loading from 20 seconds to 10. While this is a croap/soft soft soap, it is very soft, heavier on the cream side than the soap side. I believe I have it dialed in now for me.

I am in the same boat. My Shaving Soap Acquisition Disease has been under control for 15 days. One day at a time is the only way to control the malady.

but, katie's bubbles seems very appealing. Rats.

I just had my sixth shave with the LTV. It just gets better. I have it dialed in for me. It is much more like a cream in a jar, like TOBS, than a soft soap. You just need to swirl your damp brush for 10-15 seconds for enough soap to lather up for 3+ passes.

Do you find it to be a very thirsty soap? I find myself adding a lot more water to the mix. Far more than any other cream or soap I have. Also, I find that the new Phoenix soap to be a long the same lines as the Cattie's Bubbles, very thirsty.

Caties bubbles produces an amazing lather, but you may need to leave a little more water in the brush to maintain slick lather.
