Thanked: 3I love MWF, it's one of my favourite soaps. Every time I spend a bit of time away from it trying other soaps I am always amazed with it when I go back.
I used it again this week for the first time in probably a couple of months and yet again it blew me away. I also went from my face to my head and my scalp felt great afterwrds.
Top performer!

I will report. If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Thanked: 12It has such an old familiar scent, I can almost place it but I guess its been too many years. Some of the reviews were not even close as far as scent goes.I think it smells great!
Now the question is what do I try next? That was only the second shaving soap I've tried. Suggestions?

Thanked: 3226Yes I get that same sense too, just can't put a finger on it. Regardless, it is a pleasant scent and the lather is good. If you don't mind strong scents, I don't, you could try Tabac and Arko. Both lather easily giving a rich slick lather and Arko is ridiculously cheap in relation to performance.

MWF Bath Soap vs MWF Shave Soap
As planned I tried both soaps this morning.
The Shave soap performed as usual and gave a great, comfortable shave.
The Bath Soap was a different story. While they look, feel to the fingers, and smell much alike the shaving part was very different.
Loading a brush off a bar was new to me. I had a lot of suds on the hand holding the bar which I wiped on my face before face lathering.
At first the Bath Bar produced a ton of lather but is was airy. I dipped the brush in water and started lathering again and the suds reduced in volume very quickly. This makes sense to me as you want bath soap to rinse quickly.
After a bit I had what I thought would be a good shaving lather and put the blade to use.
The glide was not good. The cushion was ok.
The shave was not great due to lack of glide.
This is not something I will try again. With a bit of work you probably could get the MWF Bath Bar to make a decent lather but I have a lot of other good shaving soaps to use.Last edited by rolodave; 01-16-2015 at 04:05 PM.

Thanked: 4I started with MWF about 3 weeks ago. My previous preference was CF Lavendar. MWF is my my first try with soap and it is amazing. I love the clean smell as does my wife. I know the issue with this product can be lathering and I have had a few challenges initially but with a little diligence I have found what works for me during a shave.
I use a TI sr and I believe I will stay with MWF as long as they continue with the formula they are currently making this great soap.
I encourage those who are looking for a new soap who haven't tried it to give it a swirl.
Cheers!

I use MWF one a week, every week.. On Fat Tuesday!
Either in puck or stick form, depending on what I had used in preceding shaves.
