Thanked: 171Update:
Colgate-Palmolive Germany were quick to respond and confirmed the they have currently no plans to terminate production of Palmolive Classic shaving cream or soap (stick).
Although I was never able to ascertain where Northern European Palmolive shaving creams (Southern European Palmolive shaving creams come in slightly different packaging and varieties) are made, it does state on Palmolive shaving stick packaging that they are produced in Germany.
The Colgate-Palmolive reply suggests that Palmolive shaving cream and stick may only have been discontinued in certain markets and continue to be available in Germany.

Thanks, Beluga.
That was a pretty quick response from Colgate-Palmolive.

Thanked: 3222I know I was able to buy Palmolive shave cream in retail chain stores many years ago but it has not been sold here that way in quite a few years. My guess is that it was officially discontinued here. The only places I can get it here are from specialty shaving stores on the net. That would suggest to me that it is imported by individual retailers rather than gotten from Colgate-Palmolive Canada which lists neither the shave stick or shave cream in their product line.
I hope that the remaining markets it is sold in are large enough to sustain it's continued production somewhere. Makes me kind of wonder.
