Thanked: 49Palmolive shave products discontinued
I read on another shave forum yesterday that the entirety of Palmolive's line of shaving products with the exception of Palmolive Shaving Sensitive Gel will be dicontinued. One of the members there had contacted the company and the responded via email with the sad message. I can post a link or copy/past the email if anyone wishes to read it.
I've never tried the stick, but did order one last week that should arrive soon. I do have a sample of their cream that Ive used once, but will certainly revisit after reading after reading that post. Beluga just very kindlydid a free PIF for folks who have never tried it. Maybe next time he travels to Europe he can pick up a suitcase full of the shave sticks.
One thing that wasn't entirely clear to me from the email was if the products were only to be discontinued in the U.K. That would seem odd to me, but stranger things have happened.“To be fair, I did have a couple of gadgets which he probably didn’t, like a teaspoon and an open mind.”

Thanked: 49I decided to reprint the email and apologize if I'm wrong to do so. It looks as if it was reprinted from a third forum anyway. It makes more sense if you read the email yourselves.
Dear Mr ......,

We regret to inform you that the product you are interested in is not currently being manufactured. In response to decreased consumer demand, we sometimes have to stop manufacturing a product. Unfortunately, we do not have any remaining stock to offer you directly. Yours sincerely

It was only going to be a matter of time before this happened. After all, who needs a soap that works so well?! Grrr.

Thanked: 228Darn. At least I got to try it, thanks to Beluga, through his generous PIF. At least he seems to have three left over from his PIF due to not receiving addresses from some winners!

Yes I read that also, I just went to Tesco and stocked up on the shave sticks (49p each) so I didnt break the bank lol.
I dont care for the cream so much, that said it was in my early days of wet shaving so may of been my technique, I suppose I better buy some and find out for sure while I can.
A sad day indeed as they are great products but I suppose a shave stick retailing at 49p compared to the profit on shave gel priced at £1.85 kinda made there own mind up.
