I would have to add MEM w/Olive Oil cream from Israel. If you can find a good source, it is an excellent cream for the money!

I'd have no hesitation using it if they sold it up here in the stores.

Since it is made in Texas I wonder if it lathers well with hard water?

Funny, I stopped by specifically to mention the VDH line of soaps (both standard and luxury) both are fantastic performing soaps that can be had at any Walmart or drug store for not very much money. Definitely top performers at their price point. They wouldn't dare excommunicate three veteran forum members the same day, would they?

And of course, I'd be remiss if I failed to mention Arko Shavestick. The smell is a bit off putting to some but here in Florida, the citronella smell helps keep the state birds (mosquitoes) at bay this time of year LOL! My public health regimen dictates lots of gin and tonics in the spring time to gangload quinine and plenty of Arko shaves in the summer. Been doing it for years and have yet to contract even a hint of malaria.

I was given some Shaving Factory shave soap for Christmas as part of a gift set consisting of the soap, a mug for 50g pucks, and a horsehair brush. It's a Turkish made soap that, does, surprisingly well. Gave me better results than expected. It does smell a bit like bath soap such as safeguard or Irish spring.

Not sure who makes it. I've read somewhere that it is Derby soap but I have no,verification of that.

I throw my vote to: De Vergulde Hand. Delivered I got it for less than $12.

I think it is one of the best overall Scheerzeep (Shaving Soap in Dutch) that I have, even by comparison to the so called First Tier Soaps.

    Route 66 and Fine Acoutrements.

Great soaps, great scents, easy lathering, slick protection for your shave.

Not sure if this is considered 'underrated', maybe when compared to some of the artisan soaps but i would say Proraso. Incredible value, great performance.

Cremo at about $7 for a 6 oz tube is a good buy - often in drug stores.
In the past, I face lathered and thought it was mediocre.
Now, I bowl lather and like it a lot.

    Cella and/or Figaro I'd say.
