Per the MdC website a jar is designed to last one year. The instructions do say to leave the jar open.
I think a jar will last longer. I only do about 8 light swirls with my brush. You can barely see any soap on the tips. Then, as you face lather ... boom ... a great lather explodes. YMMVIf you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Thanked: 2284D.R. Harris cream I've used once and loved the way it smelled. I believe it's a fougere scent. To be honest, I didn't use it, it was used on me at a local barbershop. Almost bought some, maybe should have.
Edit, sorry, the Arlington scentLast edited by HARRYWALLY; 02-24-2015 at 01:10 AM.

Tried Maggard fougere, not that impressed. MdC is amazing. Passed on barrister and Mann but wish I would have purchased a jar. I hear english fern penhaligon's is awesome

Been using MDC six of seven days weekly for the last two months and haven't put a dent into the top of the soap. I think this stuff will last longer than a year. It's well worth the money.
It's a dog eat dog world and I have on milk bone underwear.

English Fern is amazing from Penhaligon's, one of my favorites, along with the Sartorial...amazing stuff.
In terms of Fougere, Mdc is hard to beat, no matter how often I use it, never seems to make a dent in it. I've heard that the B&M Fougere is amazing, but alas, it is no more.
