    Default Santa Maria Novella

    Gentlemen,

    My brother was in Italy last week and brought me this cream. Santa Maria Novella is a delightful Italian cream and one of my Seven Wonders. Enjoy.

    Good heavens man, I hope you haven't opened it. It's all over the papers in Italy. The stuff is contaminated with flesh eating bacteria. Some disgruntled employee they say.

    Pack it up and immediately send it to me. I'll take care of it.

    Oh, dear, dear, flesh eating bacteria — my poor Hollywood face. What am I to do? Well, on the other hand, maybe it will give me a chiseled face and make me look cool like Robert Mitchum.

    I just read the tag line and said, oh crap, now what. Then I saw the reference. Well I'm sorry bigspendur, but Obie just live down the road from me. So if his face falls off, I have dubs on the soap.

    Just went to the Santa Maria Novella USA website and found out that there is a store in Dallas. I'll be there tomorrow!

    Stewart, old friend, good to hear from you. Yes, Santa Maria Novella is an excellent cream. It has been a steady part of my humble shave den for years. This time I was almost out of it when my brother surprised me with his gift. Interestingly enough, several years ago, I was almost out of Martin de Candre when he surprised me with a tub of it after returning from France. My brother is a keeper.

    Reads like you should plan on which soap you want to run out of next so that your brother can surprise you with it!
