Default "Gateway Drug" Cream Suggestions, Please!

Gonna have a whirlwind trip (next Thursday & Friday) to visit my family, about a 6hr drive south to the boot-tip of the state, and I will definitely find room in the car for my already mobile shave kit. I am pretty sure my Dad, & all three brothers use cartridges & goo. So as I am waxing idiotic about my shaving hobby, I would like something that they might feel comfortable starting out with, if they choose that route...

I have been told that creams are more forgiving & noob friendly than soaps. Unfortunately, being invigorated by a healthy challenge, I skipped straight from cartridges & goo, to SRs & soaps.

Time is too short for me to order something online, so brick & mortar stores is my option. At the local Kroger Superstore (lots of general merchandise, to try & compete with wally-world), there are several different creams that are not canned.

I would like y'all to let me know if ANY of these are gonna be worth the trouble? Pics...

Dove Men+Care in both sensitive & hydrate.

Thanks in advance for your help with this!

P.S. I will have the opportunity to swing by The Art of Shaving store in Indy, if y'all think there would be a better cream there (that won't cost an arm & a leg).

I'd say any of them except the Cremo. I, personally didn't find it even better than alright. The Nivea Sensitive in the can is decent (and most likely, familiar to your kin, since it comes out of a can. If you run across any Kiss My Face in a can that's very decent. You might find that in the women's section, but don't tell them that. Any gel (not foam) in a can is good. I use that when using a DE and also as a pre shave when using a straight.

Trader Joe’s Honey Mango shave cream. About 6 bucks at the store a nickel size dollop is all you need.

Or Maca Root, from the Body Shop, tub or tube.

Proraso Tube at Bath and Body Works is a good, cheap cream.

I have tried Pacific Caffeinated shave cream and is a decent OTC brand found at a retailer near you.

Thanks for the leads, gents! Only using soaps up to this point, I knew online was my only choice for anything that wasn't VDH . So now I have a few places to go check out for creams.

And though I find the caffeinated cream intriguing, it won't be for me. I shave in the evening, often only an hour or so before bed. ...It's hard enough getting my brain to shut up so I can sleep without slathering caffeine on my face! But how is the scent? Coffee like?

I have spilled enough coffee on myself to get use to the scent in my shirt. Also it is a great way to get rid of the new car smell spilling it in the truck seat.
