This is too good. I just rinse it out and call it a day. I have so much soap and more coming in that I doubt that I will run out any time soon! I will always find something that I would like to try that I doubt that I will get through all of them before I take that final trip.

Ultimately this builds up a thick crust of dried lather which, if you are diligent, can be shaped as its applied to make an actual hair style. When this lather coif reaches terminal thickness, I gently remove it and use the entire concave surface as a lathering bowl. This can last though many shaves. As the bottom gets thin, I fold in the perimeter until I am left with a puck which I return to the puck bowl. No one has ever complained about my lather. Of course, I'm the only one who has seen it.
    I do the same thing.

I use an old style scuttle and while I don't shave what is left on the brush... I do not bother cleaning off the puck or top of the scuttle. I find it does help a little to lather up quickly.

I keep all my old lather.
I do it in a few ways depending on what product I am using:
I have a mug with a pack of soap in it - unused lather goes back in.
I have a bowl of omega - unused lather goes in a different container as the bowl is not big enough to contain the excess, this spare will be added to the following from time to time.
At work (I work away from home) I have a tub of various soap ends and a tub of various cream ends and used lather which I just mix together. I use a combination of a brush full of the soap lather and a dollop of the cream/lather mix.

I use a different "flavor" most every day so I don't even consider the question. I have to ask the "recyclers," Is shave soap really getting that expensive? What's next...saving toothpaste foam?
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

I have so many different types of soaps and creams, what's the point in saving lather? I started wet shaving in 2011 and am just now starting to replace some of my more favorite creams. haven't got to the end of any of my soaps yet.

Maybe I'm just not loading enough to have waste.
And that is probably what I need to do.

Right now, I am mostly lathering right from the ceramic bowl and that's where I load. I need to learn how to better face lather MWF. I also lathered in a secondary mug yesterday. But reducing my loading is really what I should be doing. By the way, the brush I am using is an Omega Pro boar brush if that affects the loading tendencies with MWF.
