Thanked: 5REPORT: got my taylors peppermint in the mail today and shaved with it about an hour ago. I should say first that this is my first experience with cream, I was very eager to move from a cheap soap. . . so here goes. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. it is a little bit thicker than i expected, which lead me to work the brush into the tub rather than just dip it in and go. once in my bowl (which i now see it too small) it lathers very well without really working for it. i did add a bit more water as i went, but not much. once on my face the scent started to make itself known. . . . i like it, i really do, its like candy canes to your nose. . . I can tell though that it is a scent not for everyone. the first pass was great. perfect lubricity and didnt dry on me. second pass it dried a little toward the end but i attribute that to my taking extra time to go slow and be precise. third pass was also great, without any problems. overall i am left with (to the greatly skilled) a decently close shave which to me right now is the best ive gotten thus far. i can tell now that my other tools and my skills are next on the list to imporove.
this shave was done with a no name DE loaded with a noname blade, with hot water, bowl lathered.
on a side note it makes me happy that someone cares to ask me to share my little achievements, this is proving to me a very fun journey that i am very new to.
