    Default Martin De Candre soap?

I went to my local shave shop and they said that Martin De Candre, Fougere was one of the finest shave soaps in the world. I had never heard of it (not that that's saying much) just wondering if it's really one of the best? They gave me all kinds of info like it's rested for 6 months after it's made. I don't know if it's just some hype to get my crazy ass to buy it. It has a premium price tag is it worth the money?

That is subjective. It is good, whether it is worth the price really depends on how much spending money you have, you do get to a point of diminishing returns.
There are more than a few threads about the product on here already, maybe read through a few of those and you will get an idea.

I love the stuff. I am typically a cream guy, but I love this soap... When its gone, I will likely buy more, even with that price tag.

Yep, it's good. Great cushion and easy to lather. It is expensive but you don't have to load thr brush so much. I do ten swirls and that's enough for two passes,

Great stuff, on my top five list...

"Spendy" as they say in the GNW but it lasts forever, kinda shocking how little you have to load to get plenty of great lather..

There are just so many great soaps and creams...

MdC is great soap. It's slick, it does not take much to get a great lather, and yes it's pricey.

I will have the original and Fougere in my den as long as they make it. Wonderful stuff.

Put me in the "like" column. I used it for my Christmas shave this morning. With that said, there are many good soaps that come very, very close for far less. Los Angeles Shaving Soap is just one.
