How old is your tube of Cade? I ask only because I heard that originally the tube of Cade was vastly inferior to the tub of Cade, but that later they changed the formulation of the tube to match the tub.

It's extremely concentrated. I can put 1/2 gram in a lather bowl and it's truly amazing how much water it takes. Based on my experience, throw the water to it. I am a straight shaver and the usual hydration test is that the lather rinses off the blade with just running water from the faucet. If it isn't doing that, throw the water to it.

    Cheers, Steve

    Ben,
I keep my brush extra moist and then load it heavily. Castle Forbes is a cream on the little hard side. That's why I load my brush heavily. Of course, I load heavily with any soap or cram. Castle Forbes also likes water. You'll get to know the cream after two or three lathers. Really, if you give this fabulous cream a chance, you will be surprised at how good it is. I use Castle Forbes pre-shave and aftershave balm, too. This stuff is all top of the line.

Cheers for the Castle Forbes tips, Steve & Obie. I'll put these to use next time I use Castle Forbes.

    Gentlemen,
I also added the Abbate de La Mantia Crumiro to the First Tier. Krokos was already there. I have not tried the Vegano and Laureato yet. The Crumiro carries a mild note of saffron with a touch of Italian cookies. Overall, the fragrance is mild and pleasing. The lather, glide, cushion and moisture are top line as those on the Krokos. Good stuff, all this.

I haven't tried it yet but I believe you can make some tea with it.

I think this is to show you what his magic ingredient is like also.

I have to say that the Krokos packaging was a first class presentation. Hand packaged with interlocking seal.

Love the huge wide mouth glass jar.

Will be going for second shave after posting. Har!

This week I'm using ABC with matching Almond AS balm. Thanks to a tip from a member, I have decided to use my soaps on a weekly basis. I have too many and this way I get to use them quasi evently and actually enjoy them longer.

In theory you can cook with the saffron however it's not great quality. I'd use it more for scent than an edible.

Did that little bag come with your Krokos? Have to check my packaging again as mine did not.
Good feedback on the crumiro as well. Haven't opened that one up yet.
