My own preference in terms of scent is the original. I think the original smells somewhat like fresh laundry, perhaps washed with a soap with a slight cologne scent. Tempete is more subtle. I mostly pick up a slight woody scent, but that might just be the scent picked up from the wooden container. When lathered, I don't pick up much scent at all. They both lather extremely well and are a joy to use.

Thanks Richard, that more than answers my scent curiousity about it.

Phil at Bullgoose carries three scents. The original, which is to me kind of a light sweet fougere, think sweet LaToja. The tempete, pictured above, is in an ash (IIRC) 'bowl' with the paper lid. Tempte means storm and is intended to smell like a hardwood woods after a rain, and it does - think wet oak. The other flavor is unscented.

    Cheers, Steve

It's cheaper for me to get it from the States, than from LSDM directly. Incredible. Get it Andy, PIF some others to make space ;-)

I have so many soaps that I like right now, and I told myself I wouldn't buy anymore. But maybe I might have to get this one.
