I have painted too many cars to still have a good sense of smell; i can barely smell the Tabac fragrance. That might be why I
    favor the Bay Rum sent.

Tabac? Yes definitely worth it. At least the soap is... I've not tried the other products. I can't say I particularly want to either cz I'm not a big fan of the scent. I get why some really don't like it and some do, I find it kinda ok but also pretty nasty at the same time. However I can't deny what a great performer it is and that it's well priced too.... in the UK anyway. The past few years I've been using mostly mid priced British and European artisan stuff like Wickham's, OSP and LPL. Also a big fan of Fine Accoutrements pucs (esp the Italian Citrus....fantastic!) But in the last week or so I decided to pull an old stick of Tabac out and give it a go and I'm thrilled that I did. Heaps of thick n slick lather from just a few rubs around a wet face. Needs a little brush work for great results but nothing arduous....it's a joy in fact.
I plan on getting a couple more stick refills, grating them up and adding some essential oil to improve the smell. This'll last me ages. I think the Tabac possibly out performs the others mentioned (as much as I like them) and at almost a third of the price, well, move over.

    I'm a longtime Tabac evangelist.

Work used to take me through Singapore or Northern Europe infrequently... whenever it did I would clean out the shelve of Tabac products and fill up my suitcase with a year's supply (Mustafa's in Singapore was a gold mine... I'm still using my el cheapo Omega Boar bristle brush with stand I got for maybe $10 a dozen or so years ago there... broken in boar bristle is where it's at for me...).

Nowadays it's easy enough to come by on Amazon. I still use it regularly, and hand out a shave stick to wet shaving enthusiasts should the topic come up...

Wonder if the OP enjoyed or loathed the scent of Tabac, not that it matters any.

Tabac pays off huge unless the scent repulses you. Realized I don’t shave with that soap nearly often enough so I must lather Tabac weekly. Great stuff.

With Tabac only two possible answers. You like the smell, you do not. For me it has something more: the smell of the bathroom when I went in the morning just after my dad who used only that soap for wetshaving.

Tuesday and Friday are Tabac days.
The AS and EdT are for when I leave the house

Certain scents can evoke powerful memorys instantaneously.
I can be walking down the road and start thinking of a particular occurrence of my childhood for no apparent reason. Then I'd smell a certain scent and think "ahh!"

Tabac's performance is hard to beat which is why I've used it since the mid 60's. I'm one who loves the scent, but then I tend to prefers scents of more traditional soaps, such as those of English soaps and creams. I do find it difficult to understand why the scent is polarizing, since it's a mixture of Bergamot, Neroli, Lavender, Tobacco, Oakmoss, and Vanilla, in addition to a powdery scent. I always recommend Tabac to newbies, as it's so easy to lather, even in hard water. I also like the A/S splash and balm, and the EdT, and often get complements on the scent.

Mark me firmly down in the Tabac product user column.
Shave soap, AS, cologne and bath soap. Like the scent and the performance is outstanding. If you find that you don't like the scent as has been said before.
Leaving the lid off can let the scent fade and you are left with a great soap.
Have introduced a few people to the Tabac products. All have become fans.

Wether it be a stick or in puck form, Tabac is a soap that will always be on the shelf for when the mood swings me that way. Its good stuff.
