HARRYWALLY, here's an update on my new concoction, "Chase Me Honey". I was too busy to do a morning shave so I did it tonight. Man what a shave and what a soap. One bar of "Jade East" shower soap blended with a puck of Williams Mug soap. The concoction is lumpy, green, and has a scent that takes me back to the 1970's. To say it lathers is an understatement even with a wore out boar brush. In the mirror I looked like a green rabid dog from Mars. Next was the shave test. I used my biggest blade, the 13/16 to 7/8 John Doe no name. Old John just glided right through my barbwire beard on all three passes. No nicks and no razor burn.

BTW I went to Wallmart today and picked up a puck of Van Der Hagen and a tube of Creamo to blend off with a puck of Watkins.

Will do. Creamo Vander Watkins will probably be a project towards the end of next week.

One of my test methods for these concoctions is to use my worst brushes and today was no different. That boar brush I used tonight was on par with some of the old crap they peddle on flea bay.

My Sunday shave will be different. New Boker and new Semogue boar brush all from SRD. I really like this "Chase Me Honey" scent and might test it out on some "Church Ladies" I'm trying to impress.
