Okay, I guess i have to bite the bullet and try MdC.
But, a few questions... Does this soap have a shelf life? If I bought three jars to make shipping worthwhile, would the third jar, or even second be dried up by the time I got to it? If i bought three and decided to keep two, would the third be salable?
I'm over 65, so three jars could possibly be a lifetime supply for me!

All I can say to this is , I was given a jar over a year ago,,,,, open it once or twice a week,,, have used less than 1/4 of it , but the condition of the soap today is as good today as the day it was opened. I let it dry out a day after each use & it is still fresh.

My last jars lasted over 2 years wth no diminished performance. If you don't use it regularly you do have quite a long time left in 3 jars, that's what I got this time too. But I already had a couple of friends in mind for one of the jars, plus a grandson who is now using a DE and brush with MDC. I shave with it almost everyday now, with a little Castle Forbesand a couple of others thrown in a couple times a month, it just last a long time, plus with our water here in Memphis it doesn't take much product.
When you get it just do a few swirls then start building the lather and keep adding the drops of water till you hit the point of getting a little wet, you will find it keeps building for quite a while, have fun with it. Thanked: 30I'm planning to pick up some of this soap when I'm in Paris next month. I've read that you can find MdC in Paris at Planet Rasoir and Printemps Hommes. Anyone ever been to either store?
Any tips on how to make the perfect lather with this stuff?

I think you'll find making lather is very easy with MDC. It almost makes lather by itself.
