My water is hard , not good at all.
I will try to have a shave mid week if I get the time, usually I shave once per week at the weekend.
MDC will get another shot. I do like to evolve in most things and not sit stuck on one thing or another.

A few years ago I swore by proraso red n blue creams. Nower days its totally usless to me .

The only problem I have with MdC - it dries my skin. So it's exclusively summer soap for me. Al the rest - just perfect. Especially fern scent.

I used to have that problem as well, many soaps did that, coupled with a nice aftershave would result in dry, flaking, red skin.

Then I found Esbjerg Aftershave Oil, unbelievable stuff, goes on like a light balm, and has transformed my skin....highly recommend the product.

Just had my second go with MDC.
This time instead of trying to load up untold amounts onto the brush I did a few swirls, lathered my face, added water, loaded up a few more swirls and repeated this process.
I got a nice creamy lather . So I stand corrected.

Plus I can make my creams last long by using MDC, its a win win.

I still think Castle Forbes is doggy doo doo though

I had issue with castle Forbes once upon a time. I bought into the Scottish instructions and hoped it would magically turn awesome. Then I used it like a normal cream and now find it to be superior to most. You need more product.
