Thanked: 3What a coincidence to see your post, nun2', I just received my latest order from the Soap Mistress herself on Thursday night after doing without for quite a few months. I just fired off an email to Colleen this morning to complain. . . . complain how she made me late for work on Friday, that is, and I took even loooooonger with my shave this morning. My whole house smells of the lavender and the sweet orange/bay rum and oak/moss soaps.
Like you, I really enjoy the rich lather and the uniquely slippery glide that lets me dare take a step closer to my razor for the extra close shave.
And it's always nice doing business with the Soap Mistress, herself. She's just a great person to deal with, super responsive, and gets things out the door quick smart. If there's ever any problem, she lets you know right away, and gets things fixed right.

that's great that Colleen is back up and running, yes her offerings from before were very good.
I don't have a top 5 in U.S. made soaps, from most of them they have some decent products, Stirling for one is a soap I have used many times since his beginning, his bath soaps are the only I use any more.
but all of them are still not in my regular use, most have completely moved out of the shave den.
Barrrister and Mann remain, and will stay
Green Mountain will stay,
I,m not knocking most of the choices, ive just found in my life that second best doesn't fit, though some of these could be used for the rest of your life. but like Stefan said, still not up to some of the European makers level.
great thread though, some may not even know about some of these produsts and without this thread I wouldn't have known the "Soap Mistress" was back in business Tcf“ I,m getting the impression that everyone thinks I have TIME to fix their bikes”
