    Jimmy,

I am glad you like Martin de Candre experience. It is a superb shave soap. I must admit, the brain bowl has lasted me about four years; I am almost done with it. I do have a full jar, but I will reorder the brain bowl again, because the shave den feels naked without the brain bowl from Martin de Candre. Good stuff.

Just curious, what are these others listed under the shaving soap section? Here's the page.

Savon à Raser - Savonnerie Martin de Candre

    -The Bilbao
    -Ice Cream
    -The Butter
    -Domino

They seem to be cheaper, which I like, than the soaps I'm use to seeing guys use on here ( Original, Fougere, Unscented). Anyone with experience using these? Are they different scents?

Martin De Candre 'Brain Bucket', original scent. This stuff rocks. I've been using Williams too long and read Obie's thread on the first, second, and third tier soaps and creams. When Obie talks shaving I listen, hence this acquisition. This has to be one of the best creams I've ever come across in my long life. Wonderful shaving experience.
Yup - the MdC is an awesome soap.

They only make three types, Fougere, Unscented, and the Original, which is actually a mild Lavender IIRC.

They serve smaller portions of the soap in various different containers though as in your Brain Bucket.

Beautiful soaps without a doubt, glad you like it...

Oddly enough, I just ordered two "Originals" and one Fougere about an hour ago. I held off on MdC long enough...

    I hope I like it!

Andrew that's just some of their offerings in cute containers, but the price reflects not much product. Tc

That's correct, they only have 3 flavours on the shave soap,, I wish I had got the brain bowl, I think it's well over 250 grams of soap, but I bought 3-200 gram jars so I,m good for a while even after giving some away, I was looking at the ice cream thinking the same thing. Tc

Ok, thanks brother. I was getting giddy that there might be some crazy Ice cream scented soap.

That brain bowl of soap has to be the coolest presentation of shaving soap I've ever seen. I know that MDC has a loyal following and, from what I've read, is a fantastic soap. Seeing that bowl just pushed me over the edge. Gotta get some!!
I'd like to hear from dedicated users about the two scents, Fougere and Original before I plop down the cash. I need to try and make an informed decision as to which one might suit my fancy (and nose) better.
    Thanks for any input!

Both are superb - the Original is lavender, while the fern, or Fougere, is also fantastic.

I was originally almost an exclusive Fougere user, but the original/lavender has grown on me considerably over time to where it sits equally with the Fougere, both will never leave my shave den - period.
