    Thanks Phrank!
I read somewhere that the original was pretty strongly scented. Maybe I should try to pick up a sample of each before I decide.
    Another question :
Being that this soap lasts forever, does not being covered like the soap in the brain bowl, have any long term negative effects?
    Thanks!

I don't find either soap to have a strong scent, present yes, but certainly not overpowering.

In terms of leaving the soap uncovered, I don't know where this came from, but leaving the soap uncovered, or leaving the lid off the jar so the soap can dry out, is something I never understood, unless I'm missing something, but I always cover my soaps after use, including the MdC that I've had for two years or so, and it is as perfect as the day I first opened it.

MDC says to leave open, I have always covered mine back up but with their instructions the brain bowl is ok, I think it has to do with the complete drying in between uses, mouth like Andrew said no I,ll effects from putting the lid back on. I,m on my second round of this soap, use it almost daily. First 2 jars lasted over 2 years, I just got 3 more jars a couple months back. Tc

I thought the exact same thing! It's tough to discern how hard or soft it is just by looking at the picture.

I have to get some brains! I do have the MdC "Ice Cream Bowl" and the "Butter Dish" though. They were too weird to pass up!

Pete the scents are very light, if you gave ever used Castle Forbes lavender, that is fairly strong scented, the scent from aMDC is faint and almost disappears by the time you rinse, so no conflicting with choice of aftershave. Tc

If there is lavender in MdC, I have never smelled it. But, who cares? The best soap I use.

Dave if it wasn't for my wife telling me it was lavender I wouldn't know, now if it smelled like pipe dope I could nail it every time! But scent r no scent your right, that's why I use it just about every day. Tc

I love the look of that Brain bowl. Unfortunately, I find MdC a tad drying and the scents are not my cup of tea.
