I have ~15 soaps. Don't use all of them, and some I haven't even tried yet. (I also use a few creams)

    Storage varies:
original soap container (plastic, ceramic, wooden, pewter bols)
    Ziplock bowls
Ziplock bags (the ones I haven't even tried yet and just received like this)
little glass bowls (w. lids, but lids got lost; these I got from my wife, not sure but I think they were originally intended for storing food)

No soap of mine is in a mug. I don't own a mug, actually. I use either a dr. Moss scuttle (and mostly lather on face) or a pot I got from Le Gourmet Chef (for whipping lather).

    Cheers

I counted 19 different soaps in my bathroom the other day.

I have tried most of them. In the beginning, I wasn't lathering well, but since I perfected that proceedure, I'm revisiting some of the ones I didn't like at first and discovered they aren't that bad.

I am dying to try Castle Forbes, but I can't seem to justify the purchase

Hey, may as well make it 20!!!

I don't know how much longer I'm gonna be around, but I suspect I could never buy another soap the rest of my life and have plenty left over. - ...and I still want more!!

It's $35.00 per jar, about 6oz or so.... It's Lynn's all time favorite and comes very, very highly recommended by some of our heavyweight experts here at SRP.

Steve, are you sure it's a shaving soap? I only know of CF bath soaps

Where can I buy the CF shaving soap? And what scents are available? (I don't like limes and lavender, so I have not tried the creams yet and am not sure I want to)

    Cheers

I forgot to mention, the Castle Forbes is a shaving cream, not a hard soap.

I used Williams for 15 years and I have just branched out with some of the Col. Cronk and Mama Bear. It is a very nice treat to switch soaps for a new fragrance. I like the zip lock bowl idea for those that don't come in a bowl.

Most of my soaps come in their won containers ... wooden bowls, or Mamabear tubs. Others come 'naked', and I put them in glass bowls with plastic lids (Anchor Hocking makes great 1-cup bowls, and if it's a glycerine soap you just melt it into place!) So no, I don't do the ziplock thing ... but to each his own, eh!

Yes, Steve - I thought so. I got excited, because I knew the cream has great reputaiton but I don't think I'd like the scents. And then this thread was about using soaps so I decided that you were talking about a CS shaving soap, that I had missed somehow...

But I checked the site and still nothing so I thought you must have been talking about the cream.

False alarm on my side - thanks for taking the time
    Ivo
