    I use my brush to fetch a pea size amount from the jar and work it in my bowl. I add a conservative amount of water to build lather. I use Castle Forbes.

    Soaps just take a little longer to make lather. I agree with the boar brush is better for soap. Some the softer soaps work ok with boar brush.

    When using creams, I have an espresso spoon, put an amount about the size of an almond, perhaps a little more, into my mug and have at it.

    Soaps: I don't pre-soak the brush. Before hopping in the show I'll put a Tbsp or two of hot water in the soap. Out of the shower, that water goes in my bowl, dry brush into the water, then I start loading my brush.
