Thanked: 66whos the slickest
okay. so. based on my recent reading of obies excellent first tier soaps post, and everyones conversation, i went and picked up martin de candre, castle forbes and alvarez gomez. and while they are all good i gotta admit im a little under-whelmed by the cf and ag.
while i appreciate all five elements (to borrow obies criteria) of a good soap im quickly settling on glide/slickness and my most important. maybe its my dry skin. or maybe its my hard water. but i likea the glide. and to be honest, i think that klar seifen and saponificio varesino have some of the best slickness in soaps that ive tried so far.
so. help me out please. if glide/slickness is factor #1 what are some other soaps you would recommend for me to try?
thanks.

If you hydrate most soaps, sufficiently, you should have plenty of glide/slickness.

Thanked: 66hydration is not the issue here. i can hydrate all my soaps sufficently. but when its all said and done, and all things being equal, some soaps simply offer more slickness even after the lather is gone than others.
im asking srp members to shout out any and all other soaps they believe to be super slick for me to try. the other 4 elements need not apply. well maybe cushion. =P
thanks bigspendur. i will definitely check out acca kappa!

Thanked: 66thanks phoenix51. i usually go for tallow based soaps but their oliva line specifically mentions class leading slickness. ordering one now! thanks again.
strike that. their website is sold out of every scent i was interested in. in both oliva and select lines. ill try again in the future.Last edited by sloanwinters; 12-14-2016 at 03:18 AM.

Love Ogallala Bay Rum! I have only tried the original scent but noticed it comes in several scents. Another very slick soap is Col. Conk and it too comes in different scents.
