I had a similar issue with the Myrrh I purchased. I eventually used it as a face soap in the shower.
It seems C & E are now on their 3rd soap formulation. The 1st had good reports, the 2nd which was both what we experienced and now the 3rd I understand is back to the original. Hope the new one performs as good as the Nomad.Tony

Thanked: 38Not sure which formulation I have but I have the Indian sandalwood which has a very nice scent. It lathers readily but is really drying and that third pass is iffy.

Thanked: 3228Full credit to C&E, my promised replacement puck of Moroccan Myrrh showed up in the mail today. I did a quick hand lathering and it seemed to be better than the puck that I had complained about. To be certain it does lather better I will have to use it for a while to really see.
Now the puzzle is that it has the same ingredients list as the old poorly performing puck had. Now I am wondering if the soap maker messed up the first batch somehow. Here is the ingredients list from the first puck which is the same as the replacement puck's ingredients list. Yes, the ingredients are in the same order in both cases.

Keep in mind that while the ingredients may remain the same between batches/formulations the ratio of those ingredients can change a product dramatically. This can be a small change in one or more reagents, which may only be present in small quantities to begin with, which completely alters the attributes of the resulting compound.

Thanked: 1082Cheers Bob.
I see theve added myrrh extract instead of just parfum now.
They are obviously different, most of the ingredients I couldn't pronounce let alone know what they do!
Im not sure why but Im tending to look for more natural ingredients in soaps and creams now.
