Not a bad definition outside the fact that scent is so hit or miss from person to person. Of course most of us know what we don't like and can simply avoid those scents.

Thanked: 56I second the suggestion to post some pics of your lather. If it's too wet, it may still seem like a lot of lather but won't provide much glide because there really isn't enough soap there. If the razor feels like it's sticking to your face, your lather may be too dry.
I used to have a heck of a time getting lather from soaps in a bowl. Used only creams for a while, but switched to face lathering and decided to try soap again. Wow! It was an amazing experience. The lather also built much more quickly.

Thanked: 59I just recently found that I was using too little water. My lather used to look like thick face cream with no bubbles. And would have a heck of a time rinsing my blade between halves of my face. Using more water entirely changed the lather on my face.

Personally, I have never enjoyed the scent of MdC. I don't know what it is, but is smells like burnt rubber to me, at times. Furthermore, it usually leaves my skin feeling a tad dry.
Other than these factors, it preforms wonderfully and it seems to last for quite a long time.Laughter, Love, & Shaving

Thanked: 59For the money I was expecting more scent excitement than what was presented to me from the two different MdC's that I've tried. Excellent, tier one, but not powerful enough.

Speedster, give me your address and ill send you the jar of Xpec I have ,, it surely wont get used at my house Tc by the way the MDC has a no scent also along with the Fourgere which is Fern, and the new scent with rose in it, this is why they are great scents because they are not overpowering, If I wanted to go around smelling strong I could use some of the artisan soaps that are more scent and poor lather. a truly fine soap will give you a hint of the scent and mellow out so as to not interfere with any after shave or cologne

Thanked: 59Since I like a strong scent, which artisan soaps do you recommend that also give a poor lather and I'll change over to that since it is my only option.

Thanks for the kind offer, TC! I've sent you a PM.
And thanks for pointing out some details regarding MdC. I will give the Fougère scent a try some day.Last edited by Speedster; 04-06-2017 at 06:13 AM.
