Thanked: 3Proraso Red, R.I.P.
It was rumored, there had been denials (including mine), but I finally had it confirmed by my associates in Italy: the Proraso Red cream (Wheatgerm) has been discontinued. No more. Pity, as it was my favorite Proraso: great delicate scent, just enough menthol, superb lather. It is a bad sign of things to come....

I hope they don't discontinue the mentholated pre/after shave cream. Keep us posted so I can go to S&D-M and stock up on'em lol.

Thanked: 155If you go to their web site (it's in Italian), it's gone, but the green label is still their.

I really like the green and haven't tried the wheatgerm version, but I got an email from Barclay Crocker and they have it and it's on sale. Here's the link.

I can get hold of Proraso red from a Dutch wholesaler in barbers' stuff.
150 ml tube will cost $ 10 + shipping. Our national mailservice (TNT) is not cheap.
Insured registered mail to U.S. from 0-2 kg is 22.45.
If there's much demand I can send one lot to one U.S. address for further distribution from there. Let me know.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr.

Tryphon Enterprises - catalog
$15 +s/h for 150 ml.
Good luck ... maybe you can stock up until they see the light and begin making it again.

Thanked: 7That's the OP's own website. Does he still do retail? I was under the impression he had gotten out of the business.

Proraso red may have been resurrected.
