Some girl I know worked in a cosmetic section, so I bought some shaving cream from her, canned. I use it on occasion, just because it was overpriced as hell.
I enjoy the mug and brush too much.

Have you guys even read my post through? I say by the end that despite the heavy pricetag and nice smells, it's still canned goo and gives a terrible shave. I'm a hero, as it were, sacrificing my face and integrity for the good of testing premium shaving products.

Many heroes are unappreciated in their time.

I suspect some of our members didn't get past the subject line before sentencing you to strop flaying.

There are a few members who have had decent results shaving with canned products, including one or two who are in Iraq and don't have access to the same luxuries we do... Seeing as my beard is of the titanium alloy variety, I don't really care to try it out for myself...

Glad to hear someone is willing to experiment, though. It's fun to note that most of the time we "experiment" by straying from the straight and narrow, we realize why the recommended approaches are recommended.

Thanks pilothaz. What do you fly, btw? I've got a Piper Dakota here in the UK - must stop spending cash on shaving and putting it back in the AVGAS account...

Yes ... my post (dunno about the others) was aimed at anyone who would answer your question "does anyone shave with ... canned stuff?", not at you per se.

    Still ...

After a shower, the stuff I use is pretty good actually.
I won't use it for a staight shave though.
The oil in it seems to work against the hydration of my beard, (lack of water as you said) so for a multi-pass straight shave I don't like to use anything but a brush.

I sometimes use old stuff just to see what it's like in comparison, I'm still relatively new to shaving right. I tried a Gilette 2-blade disposable with Barbasol recently. LOL.
    I smell smoke, wtf.

Would anyone have some feathers to go with my tar?
