Rich was so kind to send me a generous sample of CF 1445 for me to try out so that's what I ended up using last night. I do say it smells very refreshing. It's not a powerful in your face scent, like CF Lime which I adore. The scent dissipates very fast and is more subtle when lathered than when taking a whiff from the tub. The performance is on par with the rest of their line-up. I do prefer stronger scented creams/soaps so the jury is still out on this one. I'll have to try it a few more times to see if the lighter scent grows on me. It's hard to beat CF Lime in the scent department. On a positive note, the cream agrees with my skin.

Thanks Max - great take on it and I agree.
And you nailed the CF Lime, at first I despised it, flopped harder than a Dolphin at Seaworld as far as I'm concerned, PIF'd it forward.
Then I decided to give it another chance, felt better about, but hadn't used it that much, with the, "I do prefer stronger scented creams/soaps" aspect in mind, you've made my choice for this evenings shave CF Lime.
Wonder if I can get my like factor for the Lime up to 11 like the rest of the CF line.

I never really cared for CF scents. However, for the fun of it I've been trying out different creams this past year, after primarily shaving with soaps for the past 56 years, and not really caring for creams. However, Obie keeps raving about CF, and I've been trying to use them a couple times a week for the past several months. I now can't imagine not continuing to use these lovely creams in my regular rotation, and I enjoy all of the scents. My favorite is 1445, as I have rarely met a fougère that I didn't like, and I especially like this light blend. I recently added the EdP, and feel that I can use this scent frequently, and can use it in my office, when going out, or in nearly every setting. I'm also a fan of lime, but I also like woody scents, and I've been using Cedarwood & Sandalwood frequently, although it seems to be a scent that many others don't care for. I have too many lavender soaps and creams, in general, but it's hard to beat the performance of CF. Thanks, Obie.

In addition to much of what's been posted already in this thread, I think CF is a great suds recommendation for new wet shavers.
It's darn near impossible for CF to not lather well with any water type, works in a bowl or on the face and with just about any kind of brush. Simply put, in terms of its performance, CF is virtually a fail-proof product that just plain works well and consistently delivers a nice shave!Jay

+1 on CF for beginners. I had been wet shaving for about 16 yrs before I tried a cream. CF was the first I tried and was floored with the ease. I gave some to a young guy I've watch grow up that I was able to direct down the WS route. He had converted during his first year in college (figures he finally came around after he left the shadow of my guidance). Anyway, he'd been using Williams. I gave him about 1/2 tub of my CF Lime when he came home for the summer. His first two responses "that stuff lathers up super easy" and "wow that scent is BAM".
I had swore off buying soaps for the year. Figured I'd run through what I have and the samples I've got just sitting there untouched. Hell, I've still got some MDC Tc was kind enough to send me to try.
Now with all you guys raving about the new 1445 scent it's going to be hard.
Bunch of enablers are what you guys are...get behind me satan!
JerKeep it safe and Cheers,
Jer

Gentlemen,
Today I received a tub of the 1445 and will use it sometime this week. I do like the fern fragrance. I am out of the lime fragrance, but do have the lavender and the Cedarwood and Sandalwood. The 1445 is something to look forward to.
