I have found mixing some water with the Barbasol it becomes pretty usable with pretty good slickness

One of the main reasons I really got into wet shaving was to give myself that “me time” because of a newborn. It’s even harder to get that time with the second child, but just as important. Taking care of yourself will help your relationship with your partner and your children, so is totally worth it. Wet shaving has the added bonus of also being productive, both for personal grooming and for personal development (because you’re always learning something new!).
Or am I just rationalizing?
