Thanked: 25There’s nothing I don’t already have that I need to try. Maybe some Castle Forbes Lime since I like the Lavender. Maybe Aqua Di Parma cream but not likely. I think it goes for around $70.00

I've tried 2-3 samples from G&C that I piggybacked on an order - I thought that soap base was very good, but the scents seemed rather 'non-mainstream'.
Cheers, Steve

Stick with Castle Forbes, and you will not be disappointed. I love the CF Lime, and my next targeted buy is either the CF 1445 or Cedarwood/Sandalwood. Their post-shave balms are wonderful as well.

it's a favorite for me.
From a technical standpoint you can't get any better.
Their scents are very different. I call them adult scents, very unique not sweet or flowery. In the bauhouse style. You either love it or hate it.
One thing for sure there is nothing else like it on the market period. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 31Totally agree. The ingredients are superb, as is the post-shave feel. Not the easiest soap to lather (the 'paste' is a bit tricky as well) but a treat to shave with. I found using a synthetic with these makes the task much easier.
The scents are nuanced, I'm a fan of the Moroccan Rhassoul.

One of the best soaps around in my opinion , very high quality of ingredients , I would describe the fragrances as unusual combinations of naturals .
They are a little tricky to lather , i found they are pretty thirsty but provide a very good lather . Post is excellent as well.
If you have the chance get a sample and see yourself.

Thanked: 1081Here's a lengthy read, there was a review by RobinK at the start but it seems to have been cut.
