Generally speaking, I’ve had some form of Proraso product in my den since I started wet shaving. I’m not going to lie, as a rule I’m not sold on pre shaves, but the Proraso green pre-shave is a lovely, lovely thing.

    Just saying.

The green is about to be the 1st, 3rd tub I have ever ordered.

    A classic, IMO.

I really like sandalwood and the Proraso Red compares very favourably to TOBS.

I bought the three scents in the Proraso Single blade line. That should have been enough soap to last a lifetime. Guess this thread made me realize the abomination I had let transpire. Amazon has now corrected this error.

I recall loving the Proraso blue formulation from the sampler I once had as well: aloe and vitamin E. So many soaps and creams-so little time!

As for the MDC you guys keep mentioning, I'm STILL shaving with the sample TC sent me last summer? Fantastic stuff-I may plunk down the bread for the Fougere or Lavender at some point.

One cheaper Indian cream I wish I could still find is Godrej Menthol Mist with lanolin-that one was one of my early favorites and would still be a desert island cream.

I haven't had the history with Proraso that many of you have. I didn't try it for the first time until I'd been using MdC, XPEC, Castle Forbes, and other Tier 3 soaps for a few years, and felt that it was an average performer. However, Sean was kind enough to send me a sample of Proraso Single Blade, and that is a fantastic cream and is in my regular rotation.
