Just ordered Ghost Town Barber. I was trashing around Amazon and saw it marked down to $9.99. I redeemed some survey credit (Survey Monkey app) for Amazon credit. Ended up paying $3.99 after tax. After reading Jerry’s review on it, I’m guessing it’ll be a travel only soap. (Strong scent=bad allergic reaction from my wife)

Hopefully the smell isn’t too bad

My wife seems to get stuffed up and have a reaction to just about all my soaps, I can't stop using great soaps with fantastic scents so I wait until she goes downstairs to watch tv then shave and stay up stairs on the computer for few hours until the scent settles down a bit. As long as I stay away from her for a couple of hours after shaving she is OK and actually likes the scents.

I have to say though that it probably isn't the soap that makes me smell so strong but the post shave balm and definitely the beard oil but what can I say, I'm a selfish sod. If I can't smell my shave in my moustache I am disappointed, what's the point of spending big bucks on a den full of different soap if the scent is gone a few minutes after shaving.

It may be selfish of me but the huge variety of interesting scents is one of the reasons I shave with a straight. If I had to go scent free I would lose interest and just use a cartridge and spray goop again probably.

I had to give up ToBS Sandalwood not because it caused her an allergic reaction, she just hated it. I loved it because it reminded me of the few times my dad took me to the local barbershop. I probably won’t even try this new soap until I get back to work.

I have not been able to find any information about future additions to the Silk Tallow line up. Does anyone know if/when CFG will be adding other scents to the this formula? Specifically I'm wondering about Cryogen. I haven't been able to get a slickness out of Cryogen that I'm real happy with (but let's face it - slickness isn't why I use Cryogen) so if they are going to be doing Cryogen in the Silk Tallow, I would love to check that out - provided they can get the same amount of menthol in the new formula.
