As I mentioned earlier, I no longer have a ceramic scuttle. I tend to face lather most often now, but the plastic one I showed is actually quite functional.
There are quite a few potters/vendors selling ceramic scuttles on ETSY.

I have a few scuttles. Here is the one sitting on the sink. They really don't get used much...
face lathering and an old fashion brush cup works best for me. 
It's just Sharpening, right?
