I have done this with tooth paste but not shaving cream but don't see why it wouldn't work.
If you have a travel or sample size tube and a larger one put the open ends together and by sqeezing the large one you refill the smaller one.
This reminds me of a lesson that my wife who was a teacher used with her students. Taking a simple project like writing about how to make a peanut butter sandwich.....JBHoren likes this.
